Maximize Your Impact With Proven Resources
Clinics are our live training events. The training schedule is designed to strategically coincide with a church’s typical ministry schedule. Clinics are sequential; meaning that they are not isolated events, and they build on one another.
The topics covered at each Clinic are intentionally timed in order to be relevant to where you are in the process of launching a discipleship movement.
Clinic 1: Foundations of Discipleship
Foundations of Discipleship begins midway through ministry year 1. This clinic is followed by twelve weeks of group coaching, and then monthly coaching leading up to the next clinic. This coaching will equip churches to launch their first discipleship groups at the beginning of ministry year 2.
Outcomes and Topics of Clinic 1
Clinic 2: Discipleship in Practice
Discipleship in Practice comes after a church’s first groups have been going on for about two months, and leaders have some real, hands-on experience. This clinic is designed to give practical tools for moving beyond the typical weekly content transfer, and toward discipling the whole person. Following the clinic, more monthly coaching is offered to help reinforce and put the training into practice. Outcomes and Topics of Clinic 2
Clinic 3: Disciple-Leader Development
Disciple-Leader Development will help your church create a strategic plan for a multiplying discipleship movement. This clinic is held as your groups prepare to multiply. We will help you think about training leaders, and look toward the next generation of discipleship groups. Again, we will follow up this clinic with monthly coaching for another six months, in order to help you implement your church’s strategic plan for the next years of your discipling ministry. Outcomes and Topics of Clinic 3
Coaching is part of the secret sauce of why movements of life-on-life missional discipleship have been ignited around the world. It is built around the same “with and send” concept in which Jesus trained His disciples.
Coaching has been the real difference maker in helping churches become disciple-making churches. This encouraging and supportive coaching helps the pastors stay on track to insure that the movement continues to gain momentum.
You and your team will be a part of a leadership community with other like-minded churches that are working toward igniting a movement of discipleship in their church.
Whether it is at a clinic or on a coaching call, we strive to create an engaging and interactive environment. Do not expect to simply sit and listen; rather, always come prepared to work on skills, and be engaged with others.
Throughout the entire process, we encourage interaction, relationship, and deeper connections to strengthen the larger Life on Life movement.
(AND THEIR COMMITMENT)
Church Team: We have found it most beneficial for a team of a few strategic leaders from your church to participate in the process together (we recommend 2 male and 2 female leaders). Ideally, these four would come for all three Clinics, and will likely be your first discipleship group leaders. It is highly recommended for the senior pastor to be a key member of this team.
Immediately following Clinic 1, the entire team will participate together in a 6-week, 90 minute Ignition Group meeting to prepare them for the launch of their first discipleship groups.
Movement Champion: Typically, this would be a senior or assistant pastor. This person would be one of the four members of the church team, and hold primary responsibility for implementing the discipleship movement in your church. For the first 6 weeks following Clinic 1, the movement leader would be a part of a 90 minute coaching call, and lead the 90 minute Ignition Team meeting at his church. For the remainder of the training process, the movement leader would participate in the monthly, hour-long coaching calls.
Cost: Our desire is to partner with local churches to empower movements of life-on-life missional discipleship. Therefore we encourage commitment from the church leadership and active involvement from the senior minister. The registration cost for each clinic is $100 per attendee. We recommend bringing 4 to 6 people (2-3 men and 2-3 women, including the senior minister) throughout the training process.
*Early bird pricing is available for each clinic, as well as discounts for those who wish to pre-pay for the entire process.
